BOHNAM, TX--A race involving lawnmowers?

These riders weren't cutting grass, they were racing. Lone Star Mower-Racing Association held an exhibition race at Bohnam Heritage Days. Racers from all over the country gathered to see who had the most speed.

"It's a lot like go cart racing, only go cart racing is for smaller people," said Earl Schultz, racer. "I can't squeeze my big body on a go cart, so this is the next best thing. I race a stock car as well. This is a whole lot cheaper and a lot more fun actually."

Spectators watched the action free of charge.
