Community Helps Texoma Man Fight Cancer
SHERMAN, TX--The family of a Texoma man--who has been diagnosed with cancer--is banning together to help him fight his disease.
A band, raffle and an auction were held to help Johnnie Jones. Jones was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2008.
His coworkers, family and friends, decided to hold a benefit at the Sherman Elk's Lodge to help him fight for a cure.
By 6:00 PM Saturday, they raised more than $4,000 cause. They hope to raise almost $5,000 by the end of the night. We'll have the full story with Jones' and his friends Sunday.
